OSCE addresses security-related concerns in the Euro-Atlantic and Eurasian region,
including combating human trafficking through its Office of the Special Representative and Coordinator for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings.

GAATW is a network of organizations working to address human trafficking, with a focus on the rights of trafficked persons.

UNICEF works globally to protect the rights of children, including efforts to prevent and respond to child trafficking.

Interpol facilitates international police cooperation, including efforts to combat human trafficking and related crimes.

Europol supports EU Member States in combating serious international crime and terrorism, including human trafficking.

IOM works on migration-related issues, including combating human trafficking,
providing assistance to victims, and supporting prevention efforts.

ILO focuses on promoting rights at work, encouraging decent employment opportunities,
enhancing social protection, and strengthening dialogue on work-related issues, including trafficking in human beings for labor exploitation.

UNODC works to combat human trafficking through various programs and initiatives, including the Global Programme against Trafficking in Persons.

The German NGO Network against Trafficking in Human Beings – KOK is a registered non-profit organisation. KOK advocates for the rights of trafficked persons and female migrants facing violence.

Established by counselling centres, women’s and mirgants rights groups in 1987 to support trafficked persons, the NGO became an official organisation in 1999. KOK brings together most specialised counselling centres in Germany working with trafficked persons as well as other organisations addressing this issue and now has 43 member organisations.

KOK’s membership base includes:

• Specialised counselling centres and shelters for trafficked persons
• Projects working with female migrants
• Counselling centres working with sex workers
• Women’s shelters and specialised safehouses
• Women’s and human rights groups
• Umbrella organisations representing charities

S.O.S. Foundation The Blue Telephone promotes the total respect for the rights of children and adolescents. Through its activities, it supports their potential for growth and protects them from abuse and violence that can impair their well-being and growth path.

Cinformi, established in 2001 and structured on the collaboration between public and private social bodies, initially supported the Police Headquarters in the administrative procedures for residence documents. On the basis of an agreement between the Autonomous Province and the Trento Police Headquarters, it was possible to activate simplified procedures in Trentino to apply for the issue and renewal of residence permits for immigrant citizens. Cinformi’s three areas of intervention are information (branches in the territory, training to make services capable of responding to differently expressed needs), awareness-raising (events and initiatives in the territory, study and research activities, integrated communication project) and reception (applicants for international protection, unaccompanied foreign minors, victims of trafficking for exploitation).

The Association promotes and participates in initiatives to raise awareness of the problem of social marginalization, new poverty and hardship, immigration, education, exploitation, labor, and all emerging issues, with a view to fostering respect for human rights.

The Group of Experts (GRETA) was established under Article 36 of the Council of Europe Convention on Action against Trafficking in Human Beings and has the function, together with a Committee composed of the representatives to the CM of the States Parties to the Convention, to monitor the implementation of the obligations contained in the Convention.

Cybercrime Centre of the Prosectuor’s Office

Cnaipic is in charge of preventing and countering the cyber threat of terrorist or criminal matrix through the following activities:

• Operations Room – Single point of contact, available 24/7, dedicated to information interchange;
• Intelligence – Collection of data and information useful for prevention purposes, through constant Internet monitoring, both nationally and internationally;
• Analysis – Comparison of collected data and information, preparation of forecast reports on the evolution of cyber threat and vulnerabilities, techniques and criminal initiatives;
• Investigation – Operational response to the occurrence of a cyber criminal event, including in cooperation with foreign and international law enforcement agencies, such as Interpol, Europol, G8 High Tech Crime Subgroup.

The Anti-Trafficking Helpline was established by the Department for Equal Opportunities in 2000, as part of the interventions in favour of trafficking victims provided for in Article 18 of Legislative Decree 286/98. Currently, the national helpline for victims of trafficking and/or serious exploitation is managed by the Veneto Region. The operators working there are linguistic-cultural mediators, who cover all the necessary language targets (English, Spanish, Albanian, Romanian, Russian, Moldavian, Ukrainian, Nigerian, Chinese, Polish, Portuguese and Arabic) and thus enable potential victims to express themselves in their mother tongue. This element is to be considered fundamental if we consider that one of the major factors hindering the emergence of victims is precisely the fact that they do not know the Italian language and are thus unable to ask for help or even to obtain information about the pathways out of exploitation and the rights they have.
